Ewing sarcoma

 

 

Tumor Location

Primary sites of Ewing sarcoma (ES) are almost evenly spread between the extremities and the central axis.

The bones of the pelvis, the femur and the humerus are most frequently involved. 

 

In the extremities:

  • 20-30% of tumors are proximal
  • 30-40% are distal
  • 40% or so of ES occur in the lower extremities
