Sean Nurcombe's project: This picture was made by using drawings from all the survivors who attended the Berlin SIOP conference in 2008. Each survivor sketched their own drawing on to paper. At home in British Columbia, Sean scanned and reversed the drawings so he could copy them on to the back of a piece of glass. Sean then painted each image on to the upper surface of the glass (some of the survivors indicated the colors they preferred). It was very labor intensive and Sean worked for hours to complete this project.
